Introduction
FORM International is a private consulting agency established in 1992. The firm specialised in Sustainable Forest Management issues in 1994 and has since then been actively involved in forest certification. FORM International is ISO 9001 certified. Its services aim at preparation for forest management certification. A special approach has been developed to coach a company effectively towards certification: The Certification Support Service.

Forest managers and companies involved in forest management have to ensure a sustainable management of these forests. Certification is a perfect tool to convince consumers that their timber originates from well managed forests.

Forest certification serves three purposes:

Standard setting to guarantee a certain degree of management performance and sustainability.
Marketing of forest products.
Exchange of information between producers and consumers.

Technical assistance
A large number of forest areas have been certified with the assistance of FORM. Our key to success is the Certification Support Service to coach companies in the certification process. This service has been developed on the basis of our experience in certification issues and includes:
